Hello everyone, my name's Aaliyah! I have been an athlete for the past 10+ years. I was a cheerleader, softball player, volleyball player, basketball player, track athlete and I ran Cross Country throughout my years of being in school. I went to further my career as a collegiate athlete at Southern Arkansas University to run Cross Country and Track. I came back to Houston due to injuries and family. The injuries enable me from doing a lot of running without being in pain but if you are an athlete looking to get faster or work on endurance around the Houston area then I am your one stop shop.
After coming back to Houston I was lost in a way. I missed sports and I missed having something to do outside of work. I found Bikini Bodybuilding. I will be competing in my first competition in June at NRG stadium in Houston. With doing this I know what it is like to push your body both mentally and physically to the limit. Bodybuilding take's not only strength but determination, perseverance, and grit.
If you are looking at my pictures above thinking my body is super skinny and I have no idea what i am talking about then you are wrong. In the picture above you can see three stages of my life. The first picture is where I thought I was happy but I was under weight, ate just enough to keep running without harming my body and thought cardio was my best friend. The second picture was about a year after I had come back to Houston from Arkansas and I stopped running, I did not watch what I put into my body and I was not working out like I should have been. In the third picture you can see that my body has changed completely for my show coming up. I have been super skinny, I have also gone through a dirty bulk as well as body recomposition.
Growing up I watched both of my parents be overweight/obese. I promised myself I would never be that big. I know things happen in life, both physically and emotionally but I know the pain my parents were in, the stress it puts on your body and sometimes never feeling good enough. I want to help others achieve their goals just as much as I want to achieve mine. I find happiness in helping others.
With that being said, I have always wanted to be a coach. I want to teach others about fitness, weight loss, weight gain or just be more knowledgeable about the industry. This is why I have started up Body Fit of Houston. With me you will find someone with experience, a leader, a coach, and the truth.
